FOOD: The Swimming Pig Gastro Pub – Grand Hyatt at Bahamar
The Swimming Pig Gastro Pub at Bahamar is a trendy chill spot with a sports bar vibe. The night at my family and I went was a game night, walking up I was already thinking we were going to have to wait forever. The manager was able to get us a table immediately even though we didn’t have reservations. The place was jam packed and I can see why, there were games going on the screens all around and the drinks were flowing. I love the atmosphere! It can be a bit loud on nights when there are games, it is a pub so be prepared.
The Food
We ordered a few appetizers to try out and one of their sandwiches. The sticky honey sriracha wings were the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, we loved them so much we ordered a second order. The chicken club was on delicious herbed Foccacia bread and the chicken was complimented by creamy avocado and salty bacon. The BBQ short rib nachos are the perfect drunk food in my opinion, you know it’s not good for you but it just tasted so damn good. The short-ribs were super tender and well seasoned, my only wish is that they made legit guacamole. Everything we had at the table was tasty and the service was surprisingly quick despite the place being packed. My only complaint is that my draft Samuel Adams tasted a bit off.
If you plan to try out The Swimming Pig Gastro Pub with a group, make reservations to avoid disappointment. This is a great spot to watch a game, with friends or with family for appetizers and drinks. The food is reasonably priced and the draft and alcohol menu is extensive. I plan to go back to try the famous pub burger and I would like to try their breakfast as well. I hope they can continue with the good service and keep the food quality at a high level.
