Kayaking with Ultimate Tours Bahamas
I was scrolling through Facebook one day and came across Ultimate Tours Bahamas Facebook page, after looking through the photos and reviews I decided I wanted to do a kayaking tour.
Booking was as simple as giving them a call and setting up the day and time. The kayaking tours are held at Bonefish Pond National Park; at first I didn’t know where this was and after a quick talk with True, I figured it out.
Bonefish Pond National Park is so peaceful and relaxing, I could have just sat under the pavilion in the breeze and be happy about that. There’s a nice long board walk with a few informational signs along the way and once you get to the pavilion there is a cabana with benches.
Once True arrived with the kayaks, she gave us a quick lesson on how to paddle properly and a few tips for not falling over. She also spoke to us about the importance of the mangroves and wetlands and her passion for what she does was evident!
We started out paddling from the pavilion and made our way through the mangroves, we saw a few different species of birds and some fish. We stopped for a bit and True explained the different type of mangroves to us, showed us different parts of the plant and then after that we were free to paddle at our own pace. It was a very peaceful and relaxing experience with a few jokes here and there (people tipping over). When we got back to the pavilion we paddled under the Boardwalk; which was harder than we expected but so worth it because we ended up seeing a baby stingray.
Once the tour was over True explained to us some of her other offerings and others that she plans to offer in the future. I would really recommend giving Ultimate Tours a try, even if you’re not interested in kayaking, True also offers walking tours, Bush tea brewing lessons, bird watching, national park tours, snorkeling and a lot more. Awesome adventure.True is a great guide and very knowledgeable about what she is doing and it was not expensive.I loved kyaking under the Boardwalk.

She really is, I love meeting people who are passionate about what they do and protecting the environment. I’ll definitely be trying out some of the other tours and activities she has on offer.
