Bahamas Discovery Quest: Sea Wildlife Safari

Bahamas Discovery Quest is a tour company in Long Island that offers a large variety of different tours and excursions. It is run by a husband and wife team and they do an awesome job of educating people about what Long Island has to offer.

I did the Sea Wildlife Safari and chose to do a half day tour. It’s an adventure where you get to explore Long Island by boat seeing all the different sea and wildlife each little cay and the ocean has to offer. Charles and his wife are awesome tour guides, as you glide along the perfectly blue water they identify different animals and plant life and talk about how they move, eat and migrate.

We got to see sting rays, star fish, a small shark, and lots of conch. We even had a chance to so some fishing.  Along the way you may also get to see turtles, dolphins and sometime stop off to see iguanas. We were not lucky enough on that day to see any turtles or dolphins.

After a little exploring you stop off at a sandbar and you can relax, take photos and just take it all in. Lunch can also be provided for you on the tour if you choose that option. Overall I think this is a great way to see Long Island from a different perspective and see something other than all of the usual spots.
