FOOD: Da Perk, Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera
Da Perk is a cute little coffee shop and cafe located in the heart of Governor’s Harbours town center. Sitting on the main road just across from the Harbour, the panoramic view overlooks the bay and out to Cupid’s Cay. The beautiful outdoor seating area is just 10 feet from the ocean, the perfect place to grab a morning coffee or tea in my opinion.
Da Perk offers a great variety of coffee’s, teas & iced beverages, they also have a delicious menu for breakfast and lunch. The menu includes bagels, sandwiches, pastries, muffins, desserts, soups & salads and ever changing specials of the day. The central location makes it a convenient spot to stop for a quick bite at breakfast or lunch. Most items are made fresh & to order. There is also a cooler filled with pre-made salad’s and sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. The menu boards offer extensive options to choose from and the counter service is both quick and super friendly. When I received my food, I could tell that the ingredients were fresh. Da Perk also has free wifi which is great for checking emails and social media on the go.

How to get there:
From the Governor’s Harbour airport turn right onto Queen’s Highway, continue south until you arrive at the only 4 way intersection in Governor’s Harbour. Da Perk will be on your immediate left after passing through the 4 way intersection.
From the Rock Sound airport turn left onto to Queen’s Highway, passing the settlements of Tarpum Bay, Savannah Sound, Palmetto Point continuing into Governor’s Harbour. After you pass the welcome sign of Governor’s Harbour continue following the road until you see Bay Front Park and make a right, Da Perk will be on your right.
What I ordered:
Chicken, Bacon, Avocado Sandwich with pepper jack cheese on multi-grain wheat bread with a side of chips. The Chicken Curry Salad on a bed of greens with a side of pita bread. Both dishes were light and delicious. The Chicken curry salad definietly had the taste of curry but also a slightly sweet profile that I cant figure out what it was from. The sandwich was yummy and didnt skimp on the avocado or bacon. The chicken was well seasoned and the avocado balanced out the slight spice from the pepper jack cheese.
