FOOD: Wildfire
If you’re seeking a good pizza, Wildfire is the spot for you. It’s a little off the beaten path in the Old Fort Bay Town Centre, but in my opinion, well worth the drive. After a long week its a great place to grab a drink, a bite and to unwind.
Wood-fired pizzas offer a completely different flavor profile that an oven cooked pizza just cannot compete with. The wood fired cooking method adds a smoky flavor, gooey melty cheese and that awesome crunchy crust. I am a thin crust fan so I fell in love with the pizza’s here immediately.
Wildfire offers a great selection of dishes for a foodie to try. The pizzas are thin crust and the flavor combinations are unique. They also have gluten free options which is a thoughtful touch.
My table had the wild mushroom and spinach pizza, honey barbecue wings, a chicken caesar wrap and we ended up ordering the jerk chicken pizza and a pepperoni to go.
The Pizza:
The Wild Mushroom & Spinach Pizza has a tomato ricotta base, marinated mushrooms, spinach, parmesan cheese and a balsamic glaze. The slight sweetness from the balsamic glaze takes this one over the top for me. In one bite you get the nutty/earthy notes from the mushrooms, the creaminess from the ricotta base, and then the crunch from the crust. All those ingredients come together and make what I think is the best pizza I have had in a very long time (beside the Jerk Chicken pizza).
One of my favorite drinks was the fresh squeezed lemonade, trust me…its freshly squeezed & served in a mason jar (so hipster and I love it).
If you’re not feeling pizza they have a lot of other great options to choose from. The menu includes, pastas, wraps and burgers.
The restaurant itself is very clean, cozy & has a laid back atmosphere, this would be a nice spot for a date night. They are also family friendly, they offer a kids menu and have high chairs to accommodate your little ones.
The pizza was delicious, The service was excellent and attentive and the drinks were ice-cold. I will definitely be back in the near future for more.
Check out their website for more info on their menu and hours and give Wildfire a try. What are your favorite pizza toppings and have you ever tried wood-fired pizza before?

This is definitely a must go for those visiting the island of Nassau or if you live here already. It is a nice cozy place away from the crowd. A nice spot for a intimate dinner date with your special somebody or a girls night out or just with family. The food is delicious and the service is awesome. This is definitely somewhere I will be visiting again.

Even though I don’t eat dairy or cheese I still enjoyed my time at wildfire, the wings were great and I agree with you the lemonade is awesome. It’s a quaint and quiet setting and the service was awesome.

I had the jerk chicken pizza and it was delicious, that little extra spice was a nice touch and the crust was really crispy. Can’t wait to go back and try a different pizza next time.

I am not a fan of pizza unless it is thin crust and even then I never go to a restaurant to order it because its usually very doughy and flavourless. However, balsamic glaze and mushrooms has to be on my top 5 list of favorite foods so that sounds right up my ally especially with the different flavour melding together. Sounds very untraditional and I like that. Im always up for a glass of fresh squeezed (Bahamian made) lemonade. Sounds like a nicely kept secret. Again on my list of places to visit when I come home.
