FOOD: Stix Noodle Bar

Stix Noodle Bar is located in The Grand Hyatt at Bahamar. You can expect fast, casual eatery serving up Traditional Chinese cuisine from an open kitchen. I ate lunch and dinner at Stix Noodle Bar on different occasions. I was impressed with the food and service both times. The staff was efficient, helpful and knowledgeable about all of the dishes. The servers also asked each time if there were any allergies. You understand the importance of this if you have food allergies, I appreciated the gesture. All of the dishes are made to order; so for certain dishes they are able to exclude ingredients within reason. At first glance the menu seems a bit limited but the variety of different options makes up for the minimalist offerings.

The Menu I Sampled:

First Visit

Spring Rolls

Baked Bao Buns

Shrimp & Chicken Pad Thai

Green Tea Cake Roll

Second Visit

Wagyu Beef Fried Rice

Chicken Satay Skewers

Braised Wagyu Noodle Soup

The Wagyu beef fried rice was one of my favorite dishes. The portion size was generous and the dish was flavorful. The amount of wagyu pieces throughout the rice was generous and melted in my mouth. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. I truly enjoyed this dish and the leftovers tasted even better the next day.

The Decor:

Stix Noodle Bar has an open kitchen allowing you to see your food being made. The open and airy dining area has a mixture of contemporary and traditional Chinese decor. The wooden feature wall resembles chopsticks and adds a nice touch to bring the theme together.

The only disappointing part of my experience is that they no longer do the hand pulled noodle display, I really wanted to see it.

I will definitely be back and I highly recommend giving this place a try. The prices are reasonable and the food I tried was delicious. Have you tried Stix Noodle Bar yet? How do you decide wether you like or dislike a Restuarant? Let me know in the comments.
