I was so happy to find a Bahamian-owned business that offers something fun and different to do and I think its a great way to spend some quality time with a friend or family member. I also think that art is a great way to connect people. You don’t have to be an artist to make a beautiful piece and I love that this business encourages people to explore their creative side in a non-intimidating environment.
Once you arrive at Paint Your Own Pottery Bahamas you get to choose which piece you want to paint. There are a lot of practical everyday items or there are cute little figurines, piggy banks, flower-pots and door hangers. They also offer mosaic making and glass fusing, which I will definitely be back to try out.
I chose to do a soap dispenser for my bathroom, but they have loads of different pieces to choose from. I drew my design first and once I was done I started painting. I found pottery painting to be extremely relaxing and I also enjoyed the music that was playing in the background, I didn’t find it distracting.
There are pieces for everyone to choose from and you can go as detailed or as simple as you want. I had a great time with my mom and my best friend and we all found something to suit our different levels of creativity.
Paint Your Own Pottery Bahamas is a great experience for all ages and the perfect place to get creative. You can create one of a kind unique pieces that make great gifts for a friend or family member or just something beautiful or functional for your home or office. There is a large variety of pieces to choose from for artists of all ages and skill levels. I also think that their pricing is extremely reasonable.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the different paint finishes and paintings techniques to get the results you desire on your finished piece. If you’re not a super creative person I think a figurine or small piece with the shapes already defined on it would be great and easy to do for a beginner.
